Reptiles & Amphibians

Sunday, September 20th – 1:00pm
Come join us at Angel’s Pet World for an awesome presentation about Reptiles & Amphibians! This is the first program in our Amazing Animals series presented by Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center. Whether they’re slippery or scaly, reptiles and amphibians are amazing animals! Learn about the differences and similarities between reptiles and amphibians. Get to know some wild species of frogs, toads, turtles and snakes, and learn how to help protect their habitats. Discover what kinds of reptiles and amphibians are appropriate to keep as pets, and understand how to properly care for them. This presentation includes the opportunity to see and touch LIVE reptiles and amphibians!

Mammals

Sunday, October 11th – 1:00pm

Come join us at Angel’s Pet World for an awesome presentation about Mammals! This is the second program in our Amazing Animals series presented by Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center. Mammals are man’s best friend! Some of the most beloved varieties of pets are mammals, including dogs, cats, horses, hamster, rabbits, guinea pigs, and many more! Learn about what sets mammals apart from other animal groups. Get to know some wild mammals that are native to Minnesota and Wisconsin, and learn how to help protect their habitats. Discover the wild origins of our domesticated furry friends, find out what kinds of mammals are appropriate to keep as pets, and understand how to properly care for them. This presentation includes the opportunity to see and touch LIVE mammals!

Birds

Sunday, November 15th – 1:00pm
Come join us at Angel’s Pet World for an awesome presentation about Birds! This is the third program in our Amazing Animals series presented by Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center. Birds of a feather flock together, and you should flock to Angel’s Pet World to learn about bird bodies and what makes birds different from other animal groups. Get to know some kinds of birds that soar through the skies of the St. Croix River Valley, and understand how you can protect their habitat. Learn how the staff at Carpenter Nature Center studies song birds and how you can safely provide food and shelter for wild birds. Discover what kinds of birds are appropriate to keep as pets, and understand how to properly care for them. This presentation includes the opportunity to see LIVE species of native and domestic birds!

Raptor Meet & Greet

Saturday, December 5th 12:00-3:00pm
This year at Reindeer by the Park, there will more than just antlers and hooves! Come join us at Angel’s Pet World for the chance to see a LIVE bird of prey! A representative from Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center will be available to teach the crowd about raptors and answer questions one-on-one. Bring your camera for this once in a lifetime opportunity to see and take photos of this amazing bird up-close and personal!
